Electronic cigarettes refer to electronic nicotine delivery systems, which include various forms such as electronic cigarettes, hookah tubes, hookah pens, heated non combustible, etc
Electronic cigarettes are electronic products that mimic paper cigarettes, with the same appearance as cigarettes (the first electronic cigarette: like a cigarette, as shown in the figure below), smoke, taste, and sensation. It is a product that uses rechargeable lithium polymer battery to drive the atomizer, heats the smoke oil in the oil tank, turns the smoke oil (including nicotine, essence, solvent propylene glycol, etc.) into steam, and then allows users to smoke. In a broad sense, e-cigarettes refer to electronic nicotine delivery systems, including e-cigarettes, hookah tubes, hookah pens, heated non combustible, and other forms. In a narrow sense, electronic cigarettes refer to portable electronic cigarettes that have a similar appearance to cigarettes.
Generally speaking, electronic cigarettes consist of two main components: a cigarette rod and an atomizer (cigarette bomb). After disassembling these two components, they are shown in the following figure:
Cigarette pole: The internal structure of the cigarette pole uses the same basic components: a light PCBA board, rechargeable batteries, and various electronic circuits.
Most e-cigarettes use lithium-ion and secondary battery power components. The battery life depends on the type and size of the battery, the frequency of use, and the operating environment. And there are many different types of battery chargers to choose from, such as socket direct charging, car charging, and USB interface chargers. Batteries are the largest component of e-cigarettes.
Some e-cigarettes use an electronic airflow sensor to activate the heating element, which can cause the battery circuit to operate upon inhalation. The manual sensing requires the user to press a button and then smoke. The use of pneumatic is convenient, and the manual circuit is relatively stable compared to pneumatic, and the smoke output is also better than pneumatic. With the development of hardware and software, some manufacturers have begun to develop fully automated mechanical manufacturing of electronic cigarettes, eliminating the use of manual wiring, welding, or electronics to achieve higher safety and reliability.
Atomizer (or smoke bomb): Generally speaking, smoke bomb is the suction nozzle part, and some factories, according to customer needs, glue the atomizer together with smoke bomb or oil to make a disposable atomizer. The advantage of doing so is that it can greatly improve the taste and smoke volume of e-cigarettes, while maintaining a more stable quality, as the atomizer is the easiest to break. Traditional e-cigarettes are a separate atomizer that breaks down in just a few days. Injecting liquid by professional personnel in the factory avoids the problem of excessive or insufficient liquid injection, which can cause the smoke liquid to flow back into the mouth or corrode the circuit of the battery. The amount of smoke oil stored is also more than that of ordinary smoke bombs, and the sealing performance is good, so its use time is longer than that of other smoke bombs.
This technology is currently only owned by a very few brands. The structure of the atomizer is a heating element that generates heat through battery power, causing the smoke oil next to it to evaporate and form smoke, thus achieving the effect of "swallowing clouds and exhaling mist" when people inhale.
