The World Electronic Cigarette Alliance believes that Hungary's new regulations on disposable vapes may backfire
Aug 21, 2023
Hungary's new regulations on disposable vapes stipulate that the nicotine content of each e-cigarette must not exceed 17 milligrams, which to some extent limits the attractiveness of e-cigarettes to consumers.
Director WVA stated that ensuring the safety and standardization of e-cigarette products is important, but avoiding excessive regulation is equally important. He expressed concern about the potential impact of the new regulations on disposable vapes in Hungary. The regulations on nicotine content, labeling, and packaging may impose unnecessary restrictions on disposable vapes products. The impact of the new regulations should be carefully evaluated and consumer feelings should be more fully considered.
