World Health Organization: COP10 and MOP3 have been postponed until 2024

The 10th Conference of the Parties to the Framework Convention on Tobacco Control (FCTC) and the Third Conference of the Parties to the Protocol on the Elimination of Illegal Trade in Tobacco Products (MOP3) of the World Health Organization have been postponed to 2024.
According to the Secretariat of the World Health Organization Framework Convention on Tobacco Control (FCTC) on November 9th, the 10th Conference of the Parties to the FCTC and the Third Conference of the Parties to the Protocol on the Elimination of Illicit Trade in Tobacco Products (MOP3) have been postponed to 2024.
After receiving communications from Panama, the host country of the tenth session of the Conference of the Parties to the World Health Organization Framework Convention on Tobacco Control and the third session of the Conference of the Parties to the Protocol on the Elimination of Illicit Trade in Tobacco Products, it is no longer possible to hold COP10 and MOP3 as scheduled in November 2023, "FCTC wrote on its website.
These meetings are expected to be held in Panama as early as 2024, with dates to be determined.
The current unstable security situation in Panama is the main reason for the delay of COP10 and MOP3.
The Secretariat of the Convention stated that further details regarding COP10 and MOP3 will be communicated as soon as possible.
