OECD Report: New Zealand Ranks Second Globally in E-cigarette Usage Among People Aged 15 And Above

New Zealand's adolescent e-cigarettes are on the rise, with OECD data showing the world's second largest, causing concern among researchers.

According to data from the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), New Zealand ranks second globally in the proportion of people aged 15 and above who frequently smoke e-cigarettes, second only to Estonia.
In New Zealand, over 8% of the population in this age group often smoke e-cigarettes, with a higher proportion of teenagers using them.
Researcher Kelly Burrowes stated that a large number of New Zealand teenagers are attracted to e-cigarettes, and their use has surged beyond other countries.
She pointed out that "in this age group, 18% of people are frequent users of e-cigarettes, which is much higher than the 5% to 8% in the UK and Australia
