Oct 27, 2023
The Orleans police in the United States will receive unused drugs, sharp items, pet medications, and e-cigarette devices (e-cigarette devices require the battery to be removed).
According to Orlanshub on October 25th, the Orleans Police Department will once again participate in the National Prescription Drug Recycling Day event. The police will receive unused drugs, sharp items, pet medications, and e-cigarette devices (e-cigarette devices require the battery to be removed).
This event is a joint effort between the Drug Enforcement Agency of the United States Department of Justice and the Orleans Police Department.
This recycling event provides the public with an excellent opportunity to handle unwanted and/or expired drugs and sharp items to ensure their safe and compliant disposal. Such activities greatly reduce the risk of prescription drug misuse and abuse, and increase public awareness of this important public health issue.
