*I noticed that while the Fumot website and Tornado 9000 packaging states the battery is 850mAh, Fumot's official features and specs photos show a 600mAh capacity. Don't worry though, I'll cover battery performance later in the review!

With bright, vivid colors on the box, you immediately get a sense of what the Tornado 9000 is all about! In addition to grabbing your attention right away, the packaging also provides a ton of handy information.
On the front of the box, you'll see a picture of the device itself (creepy aliens included!), along with the flavor names and the mandatory nicotine warning. On the back, you'll see a second warning and confirmation of the nicotine concentration.
On the sides of the box, you'll see a list of ingredients, the main features of the Tornado 9000, some company information, and a handy QR/scratch-off code that lets you check if the disposable you're buying is the real deal.

Once you remove the Tornado 9000 from the box, you just need to tear open the foil wrapper and remove the sticker from the bottom of the device. This is to stop the device from misfiring before first use. After that, you can start vaping!

Tornado 9000 | Design and Appearance
First, let's get the obvious out of the way… there's a giant, weird alien covering much of the frontline! Looking like the little green men from Mars Attacks, each Tornado 9000 flavor has a unique and quirky character.

While I'm not sure if all 53 flavors present a different picture, the 6 we received certainly do. At first, I wasn't quite sure what to think of this design choice, but whether you love it or hate it, you can't deny that it grabs attention!
It's definitely not something I've personally seen on disposable e-cigarettes before, and it definitely helps the Randm Tornado 9000 stand out from the crowd!
On top of that, the Tornado 9000 also features beautiful gradient colors that reflect the nature of the flavors inside. For example, the Watermelon Ice flavor has a blended array of reds, greens, and blues. The effect is bold and colorful, once again grabbing attention.

Not content with just the funky Martian personality and bright, vivid colors, the Tornado 9000 also features a series of LED lights on the bottom that glow and flash like a UFO. The LEDs activate in a variety of colors, lighting up the room like a disco ball!
In addition to being a great "flashlight" to go around the house when the lights are off, the LEDs also provide a visual indication of when the battery is starting to run out. As the battery gets close to being depleted, the LEDs begin to cycle through red, at which point you'll have about an hour of respite.
When the battery is finally depleted, the LEDs stop cycling and are replaced with a steady, continuous flashing to let you know it's time to recharge. You'll find the micro USB-C port on the bottom of the device in the center of the LEDs.
I have to say, the Tornado 9000 really stands out from the crowd. We've reviewed a lot of devices with impressive LEDs in the past, but none quite like the Tornado 9000! The photos don't do it justice, but every time you draw on the mic, the bottom explodes into a light show!

Each multi-colored LED flickers and dances across the base of the body, creating an oddly beautiful effect, especially when you're vaping in the dark. More than once, I found myself turning off the lights in bed and just enjoying the spectacle of light with each draw!
Therein lies a problem, however. When I used the Tornado 9000 in public, it proved nearly impossible to take a discreet puff. As someone who prefers to keep my attention firmly elsewhere, the bright, funky artwork and "strobe" light effects of the Tornado 9000 did little to relax me when I was out and about!
In terms of size, the Tornado 9000 doesn't help itself blend in, either. At 112mm tall and 32mm in diameter, it's easily one of the largest disposables we've reviewed. But despite that, it still manages to stay pretty lightweight at just 70g!
The Tornado 9000 is so light, in fact, that I often carry several of them at once without them really weighing me down in my pocket. The bold size and lightweight design also make this device very comfortable to hold and vape. It reminds me of a very bulky, stubby cigar that fits the hand very well.

This lightweighting is entirely due to the polycarbonate (plastic) construction, which can be seen on the top and ports. Under that section, the Tornado 9000 is wrapped in paper, giving it a rougher, more textured feel than most e-cigarettes.
While the textured paper actually makes the device more comfortable to hold, it does unfortunately show minor bumps and scratches. In my case, the cat was particularly fond of the Tornado 9000 samples we received, and several scratches can now be seen on each one (bad cat parents, I know!).
Since it is disposable, but once the e-cigarette is vaporized, you will discard it, so external damage is not a big factor.
What matters more is how much impact and drops these devices can withstand in terms of performance! I am happy to report that the Tornado 9000 performed admirably in this regard. I made sure to drop two of them on a hard surface from a height of about 2 meters for testing.
In both cases, the external paper wrapping showed minor wear and tear, but performance remained stable and reliable. There was no noticeable change in vapor, flavor, or battery performance on any of the devices I dropped.

In terms of branding, the Tornado 9000 is once again bold and flashy. On the front of the device you'll see the name "RandM Tornado 9000" and the reverse displays the flavor name in bold white font with a small Fumot logo underneath.
Overall, I must admit that I have mixed feelings about the aesthetics of the Tornado 9000. On the one hand, it's bright, bold, and fun. The alien character is a quirky touch and the array of LED lights is fantastic! On the other hand, this design isn't for professionals, or even introverts like myself, to blend in.
I will say that of all the disposables I've reviewed over the past few years, this one has received the most comments from friends and family. It's clearly intended to create a fun, quirky vibe, and I think it ticks all the boxes in that regard!
While it's not something I'm likely to purchase often, I think there are a lot of vaping enthusiasts out there who will appreciate this unique and fun design.

When it comes to features, there really isn't much to add. Being a draw-activated device, there is no fire button, meaning that simply drawing the coil over the mouthpiece will fire it up. The auto-draw feature worked flawlessly on all 6 Tornado 9000s I tested, requiring only the lightest of draws to activate.
With many new disposables, we're also seeing a trend towards increased features, but the Tornado 9000 keeps things simple, with no display, variable airflow, or variable wattage. While this may put off some vapers, there are many who will appreciate the Tornado 9000 for being a simple, beginner-friendly device!
Overall, I was impressed with the design and look of the Randm Tornado 9000. It's certainly not shy, and everything it does…it does it really well! The unique and strange alien characters adorning each Tornado 9000 are fun and fresh, while the bold, bright body and gleaming LEDs complement the overall design.
While I still think this design is a brave choice that will definitely put off a small number of vapers, I also predict there will be a lot of vapers looking for something light and fun! Hats off to Fumot Tech for creating a truly unique disposable that stands out from the crowd!

Tornado 9000 | Performance

When it comes to the performance of the Tornado 9000, things are a lot clearer…whether you like the design or not, what matters is that you know how well it performs! At ALLBARVAPE, you'll get the best price and service.

The first thing to mention is the outstanding longevity. As it says on the box, the Tornado 9000 will provide approximately 9,000 puffs! Now, because it's a little difficult to count every puff on a disposable like this, I calculated how many puffs I took in a day and then multiplied that by the total number of days each disposable lasted.

I was able to vape 2 of the Tornado 9000s I tested to the end of their lifespans, and each lasted about 15 days! On the day I counted, the puff count was 590, which is reasonable, and the two draws I completed both provided close to 9000 puffs, give or take a little.

As a heavy vaper, a 15-day lifespan on a single use is fantastic! While I puff nearly 600 times a day, a light vaper can reasonably last 200 puffs a day, or even less. If we assume only 200 puffs a day, the Tornado 9000 could last 45 days!
This not only makes the Tornado 9000 a very convenient device to use, but also a very cost-effective way to get your fix!
In terms of battery life, I also received the expected vaping time between charges, with most full charges lasting about a day and a half.
As I mentioned before, there are some discrepancies between the packaging and the features and specs photos. The packaging and website say the Tornado 9000 has an 850mAh battery, but Fumot's pictures show a 600mAh capacity.
I'm definitely inclined to think this is an error in the pictures... but I would normally think an 850mAh battery would last about 2 full days. That being said, the LED array and sub-ohm coil (0.8 ohm) will naturally drain the battery faster.
The LED is a good indicator of when it's time to recharge, and you'll also know by the drop in steam production. With the USB-C cable plugged in, the LED stays lit red. As the Tornado 9000 charges, the LED turns green and finally blue. Once the battery reaches full capacity, the LED turns off completely. All in all, it only takes a little over an hour.
Unfortunately, the Tornado 9000 doesn't have a "ride-through" feature, so you can't vape it while it's charging, but the short charging time of around 1 hour means you won't be waiting too long.
It's worth mentioning that the mesh coils seem to dry out when the device is laid sideways while charging, giving off a burnt taste on the first few puffs. I found that leaving the Tornado 9000 standing on its dock for a few minutes after charging completely eliminated this problem.
Another thing that impressed me about the Tornado 9000 was the steam production. Just a few long draws of a few seconds produced a satisfying cloud of white stuff. Long draws of a few seconds produced impressively thick clouds of steam that rivaled traditional mod and tank setups.
It also ticks all the right boxes in terms of throat hit and nicotine delivery. Since the Tornado 9000 we received were all 50mg/ml strength, it only took a few puffs to be instantly satisfying.
While I usually use lower nicotine strengths, the 50mg/ml was also smooth and satisfying. In the past, I've used 50mg/ml disposable vapes that hit a little too hard and sometimes left a tight feeling in the back of the throat!
With the Tornado 9000, though, I haven't experienced it once in four weeks of vaping!

As I mentioned before, the auto draw feature also performed very well on the 6 Tornado 9000s I tested. It was nice and responsive, and only required a light puff to activate.
The Tornado 9000 is also designed for mouth-to-mouth inhalation, and the rounded tubular mouthpiece works perfectly for this style of vaping. For me, the airflow was just tight enough, and together with the mouthpiece it mimicked the draw of a traditional cigarette very well.
This makes the Randm Tornado 9000 a great choice for smokers looking to switch to vaping!
Lastly, it's worth mentioning that none of the 6 vapes I used leaked, not even a single drop! While most disposables are usually leak-proof these days, I've still had a few leaks in the past.
There's nothing worse than ruining your favorite t-shirt or pants with e-juice, or worse, having it splash into your mouth. In this regard, the Tornado 9000 performed perfectly!
Overall, I was very impressed with the performance of the Randm Tornado 9000! The life of each device was great, and the vapor and flavor production of the 0.8 ohm mesh coil was great!

As you can see from the list of flavors, there are some pretty delicious sounding concoctions. It looks very fruit-flavored, but it would be nice to see more candy-like mixes like Skittles and Sour candy options.
You might notice that several of the 53 flavors look very similar. I must admit, I wish there were some dessert/cake-based options to choose from in such a large range.

Sadly, the Tornado 9000 doesn't come with features like pass-through charging and adjustable airflow, but it makes up for it with its fun and interesting design and extremely delicious flavors.

It's also worth remembering that none of the 6 e-cigarettes I smoked leaked, nor did I experience any flavor loss or burn marks before the 18ml of internal e-juice was atomized. There were no issues with the auto-draw, and the MTL draw was perfect for me!
