The department pointed out that when heating the oil of electronic cigarettes, which contains components such as propylene glycol, glycerol, nicotine, and spices, chemical reactions may occur, which may result in the production of new chemical substances. When these substances enter lung tissue, they may cause damage to the lung system and even lead to fatal consequences.
The danger of smoking e-cigarettes also lies in the nicotine itself, which may exceed the concentration of nicotine in regular cigarettes by 10 times.
According to statistical data, 9.8% of teenagers aged 11 to 15 in Kazakhstan use e-cigarettes.
