Overview of the production process for ceramic atomization cores
Apr 01, 2024
Ceramic atomization core, as a type of electronic cigarette heating element, has been favored by many users in recent years and is one of the common types of atomization cores. It utilizes the characteristics of ceramic materials to give electronic cigarettes a unique user experience.
1, Advantages of ceramic atomization core
1. Better taste: Ceramic atomization cores typically provide a purer and smoother taste. Due to the heating characteristics of ceramics, they can heat the cooking oil more evenly, producing finer smoke, which is a clear advantage for users who pursue high-quality taste.
2. Reduce burnt smell: Ceramic materials can maintain stability at high temperatures and are not as prone to burning as cotton cores, thus reducing the generation of burnt smell during use.
3. Long service life: Ceramic atomization cores have high heat resistance and physical stability, and are not easily corroded by cigarette oil. Therefore, compared to traditional cotton cores, their service life is usually longer.
2, Disadvantages of ceramic atomization cores
1. Long heating time: Compared to cotton cores, ceramic atomization cores may require more time to reach the ideal heating temperature at the beginning of heating.
2. High cost: Due to the relatively high manufacturing cost and technical requirements of ceramic atomization cores, their market prices are usually higher than traditional cotton cores.
3. Taste transfer may be slow: Some users have reported that when switching between different flavors of tobacco oil, the previous flavor may remain for a long time, affecting the purity of the new flavor.
Overview of the production process for ceramic atomization cores
3, The production process of ceramic atomization cores
Usually includes the following steps:
1. Raw material preparation:
Choose high-purity ceramic powders suitable for atomization applications, such as materials such as alumina and zirconia, which have good thermal stability and corrosion resistance.
2. Slurry preparation:
Mix ceramic powder with organic or inorganic binders and solvents evenly to form a slurry with certain fluidity and plasticity. Other functional additives may also be added to the slurry to improve its conductivity, oil absorption, or porosity.
3. Forming process:
By using thick film printing technology, injection molding, dry pressing molding, injection molding, etc., the slurry is coated or filled into a specific mold to form the basic shape and structure of the atomization core, including a porous ceramic layer and heating element area.
4. Drying and sintering:
After preliminary drying to remove most of the solvent, high-temperature sintering treatment is carried out to melt and combine ceramic particles, forming a dense ceramic body with a certain pore structure
5. Deposition of conductive layer:
For atomization cores that require heating, one or more layers of conductive materials (such as metal films) will be added to the surface of the sintered ceramic body through sputtering, chemical plating, screen printing, and other methods to form a resistive heating layer.
6. Cutting and packaging:
After completing the production of the conductive layer, the ceramic atomization core is precisely cut according to the design requirements to ensure that the size meets the standards. The completed atomization core is packaged with external connectors, such as installing electrode pins, insulation materials, etc.
7. Quality inspection:
Conduct performance testing and quality control on the produced ceramic atomization cores, including resistance value detection, heating efficiency evaluation, stability testing, and inspection of oil absorption and atomization effects.
8. Packaging and outbound:
Products that pass the inspection are treated with dust and anti-static measures and packaged, and then stored in the warehouse for shipment to downstream e-cigarette manufacturers or other related industry customers.
Different manufacturers may adjust their specific production processes based on their own technology and market demand.
