Discontinuing Bright Packaging, UK Disposable E-cigarettes Want To Survive Full

Oct 23, 2023

According to reports, Supreme, a British e-cigarette brand, has announced a series of measures to reduce the use of its e-cigarette products by minors, including standardized packaging, discontinuing the use of bright colored disposable e-cigarettes, and only introducing flavors suitable for adults.
Supreme plans to launch "positive measures" in the coming months and calls for their adoption in the UK e-cigarette market:
● Ordinary packaging: The entire 88vape series packaging, from disposable items to 10 milliliters of liquid, will be immediately evaluated to ensure that the use of colors is very limited (only used to distinguish one inventory product from another), and the packaging is simple and uniform. Supreme does not use images, cartoons, or characters on its packaging.
● Stop all bright colored disposable products: The company's 88vape disposable product series will switch to pure black, white, or gray hardware and stop any bright colors as soon as possible.
● Age only flavors: The naming convention for all flavors in the 88vape series will be simplified, such as "Peach Dream" changing to "Peach" and "Sweet Strawberry" changing to "Strawberry" to reduce shelf appeal for underage e-cigarette players. Any flavor that may be more attractive to underage e-cigarette users will be completely removed from the series.
Only deal with retailers with reliable age verification: Supreme will strengthen its "pre order" due diligence on all retailers and electronic retailers in its network to ensure they clearly confirm that they have reliable age verification protocols. Supreme will no longer engage in transactions with those who do not meet this requirement.
Responsible location of products in the store: Supreme will advise all retailers that their e-cigarette products should not be placed near candy and will work with retailers to find suitable locations in the store to avoid contact with e-cigarette products by underage users.
● Electronic cigarette processing boxes in stores: Supreme is currently launching electronic cigarette processing devices throughout its largest customer B&M Retail's entire property to encourage more responsible handling of disposable equipment.
● Government Cooperation: Supreme will continue to cooperate with the government to crack down on minors smoking e-cigarettes and welcomes further legislation in the industry, such as the suggestion from the e-cigarette industry association that the sale of e-cigarette products should be subject to significant fines for retailers found selling e-cigarettes to minors.
Industry cooperation: Supreme will encourage other e-cigarette brands it collaborates with to follow suit.
Supreme is a manufacturer, supplier and brand of FMCG in Manchester. Its own electronic cigarette brand is 88vape, and it is also a British dealer of ELFBAR, Lost Mart, SKE and other products.
