Disposable Electronic Cigarettes Occupy Nearly 40% Of The Global Tobacco Market Share

Jan 17, 2024

According to a report by Tobacco Reporter on October 12th, the latest analysis by ECigIntelligence shows that disposable e-cigarettes account for nearly 40% of the tobacco market share. After its first outbreak in the United States, the disposable e-cigarette market is now growing even more rapidly in other countries.
Consumers are mainly attracted by the convenience and low price of disposable e-cigarettes, but there are product differences in the international market.
For example, due to the restrictions on liquid content in e-cigarette products under the EU Tobacco Product Directive (TPD), the size of disposable e-cigarettes in non TPD countries has increased even more.
On the other hand, in some TPD markets, the number of zero nicotine products has increased as these products allow for larger fuel tank capacities.
Another significant recent development is that some products have begun to focus on environmental issues related to disposable e-cigarettes, such as products mainly made of paper or products containing biodegradable components.
In order to further understand the global disposable e-cigarette market, ECigIntelligence has launched a disposable e-cigarette tracking service.
This data shows the development of leading online retailers in the pricing, technical features, taste, and nicotine concentration of disposable e-cigarettes since 2020. Users can even choose specific models and view their closest competitors in the market, such as smoking habits, liquid capacity, battery capacity, and physical shape characteristics.
"The disposable e-cigarette market is expanding so rapidly that there is an urgent need for reliable and in-depth data," said Tim Phillips, General Manager of Tamarind Intelligence, a manufacturer of ECigIntelligence. "This new tracking service will provide participants at all levels of the industry with the necessary intelligent data to help them develop strategies for disposable products."
